The Chinese Export Policy Is Being Changed

ONICHEM is declaring that all the pending orders must be shipped before end of June 2007
unless the prices will be increased, because we have heard it before but now it will come to
truth that the Chinese government will reduce the returned rate of VAT for export of chemicals
from 13% (for Silanes & Glyoxal) to be 5% or even 0% for the shipments since 01 July 2007.
So even if it is to be 5%, the rate is still 8% lower, which means our costs will be at least 8%
higher for the shipments since 01 July 2007.
Hence, we will have to change our prices then if the Chinese export policy is changed. In our
General Conditions of Sale (please refer to
http://www.onichem.com/files/Sales_Conditions.pdf), we have stated that we have the right to
change our prices for such case, however, you also have the right to accept them or to cancel
the orders.
